OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY IS UNCOMPROMISING
MAINKA LIFETIME PROMISE
Every Mainka product is crafted from carefully selected materials sourced from some of the finest tanneries and fabric manufacturers in the world from Rémy Carriat in France, to Wickett & Craig and Horween in the United States, and Tärnsjö Garveri in Sweden.
For metal components, we insist on solid cast or pure-alloy brass, stainless steel, or 935 silver never zinc alloy, nickel, or tin.
When it comes to manufacturing, we place our trust exclusively in some of Germany’s most experienced workshops. These manufacturers have delivered exceptional craftsmanship for decades, and in some cases for well over 100 years.
This combination of outstanding material quality and irreplaceable manufacturing expertise allows us to stand firmly for authenticity, precision, and longevity. Above all, it allows us to make you a promise.
The Mainka Lifetime Promise reflects our responsibility beyond the point of purchase. We take care of repairs for your Mainka product for as long as you own it, provided it was purchased new and directly through www.mainka.co or one of our authorised retail partners, and proof of purchase is available.
Pre-owned products or purchases made through unauthorised third-party sellers are excluded from this promise.
Lifetime Promise Claims
Please contact us by email at info@mainka.co with a brief description of your request and clear, meaningful photographs. Please also include your order number or relevant proof of purchase.
Our team will get back to you promptly with the next steps.
Natural Wear
This promise is designed to give you confidence in the quality of our materials and craftsmanship.
Products that have been subjected to exceptionally heavy use over a long period of time and show clear signs of normal wear may be excluded from free repair or replacement.
Each case is reviewed individually and fairly. Where no material or manufacturing defect is present, we offer repairs at transparent and reasonable cost.
Patina & Material-Related Changes
Mainka deliberately works with materials that develop character over time. Natural fabrics and leather change through use, exposure to light, and weather conditions.
This patina is not a defect. It is an expression of quality and authenticity it tells the story of your product.
For care, gentle cleaning with lukewarm water and a soft cloth is usually sufficient. Allow the product to air dry afterwards and avoid direct sunlight.
To preserve the product in the closest possible condition to new during storage, we recommend keeping it in the dust bag provided.
Colour Transfer from Leather
Mainka uses high-quality, full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather. This traditional tanning method deliberately avoids synthetic coatings and allows the leather to gain character over time.
Under very humid or warm conditions, slight colour transfer may occasionally occur, comparable to high-quality raw denim.
This material-related behaviour cannot be fully excluded with premium leather and is not covered by the Lifetime Promise. We cannot accept liability for possible discolouration of other items.
We recommend avoiding aggressive cleaning agents. Where necessary, a small amount of high-quality leather care product may be applied sparingly.
Please allow the leather to dry completely and protect it from direct sunlight.
Shipping & Return Costs
For products purchased within the last 12 months, Mainka covers the cost of shipping to our workshop as well as the return shipment after repair.
After this period, shipping costs may apply. Naturally, we will inform you transparently in advance and work with you to find an economically sensible solution.
Purchases Through Authorised Retail Partners
Products purchased through our authorised retail partners are fully covered by this promise.
Please contact Mainka directly, and we will handle the further process.
