MAINKA LIFETIME PROMISE
A German Standard of Quality

Our standards of quality are uncompromising. Every Mainka product is made from carefully selected materials sourced from the world’s finest tanneries and textile mills including Remy Carriat (France), Wickett & Craig and Horween (USA), and Tärnsjö Garveri (Sweden). We insist on solid cast or pure metal alloys only brass, stainless steel, or 935 silver never zinc, nickel, or tin.Crafted exclusively by Germany’s most experienced workshops, some with over a century of continuous expertise, every Mainka piece stands for authenticity, precision, and longevity. Above all, it allows us to make you a promise.
The Mainka Lifetime Promise represents our responsibility beyond the point of purchase. We will take care of repairs to your Mainka product for as long as you own it provided it was purchased new and directly through www.mainka.co or one of our authorised retail partners, and valid proof of purchase can be supplied.Products purchased second-hand or via unauthorised third-party resellers are excluded from this promise.
How to Make a Claim
Please contact us at info@mainka.co with a brief description of the issue and clear supporting photographs. Kindly include your order number or other valid proof of purchase. Our team will respond promptly with the next steps.
Fair Wear and Tear
This promise is intended to provide confidence in the quality of our materials and workmanship. Products that have been subjected to exceptionally heavy use and show signs of natural wear and tear may not qualify for complimentary repair or replacement.
Each case is assessed individually and fairly. Where damage is not the result of a material or manufacturing defect, we are happy to offer a professional repair service at a reasonable and transparent cost.
Patina & Natural Ageing
Mainka deliberately works with materials designed to age with character. Natural fabrics and leathers will evolve over time through use, exposure to light, and the elements. This patina is not a flaw, but a mark of authenticity a record of how the product has been used.Occasional cleaning with lukewarm water and a soft cloth is usually sufficient. Allow the product to air-dry naturally and avoid direct sunlight. To preserve a like-new appearance for as long as possible, we recommend storing your product in its dust bag when not in use.
Leather Dye Transfer
Mainka uses premium full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather. This traditional tanning process avoids synthetic coatings and allows the leather to develop a rich, natural character over time.In very humid or warm conditions, leather may “sweat,” which can lead to minor dye transfer similar to high-quality raw denim. While rare, this is an inherent characteristic of premium leather and is therefore not covered under the Lifetime Promise. We are also unable to cover damage to other personal items caused by dye transfer. We recommend avoiding harsh chemicals. If desired, a small amount of high-quality leather cream or conditioner may be applied. Ensure the leather is fully dry before use and kept out of direct sunlight.
Shipping & Return Costs
For products purchased within the last 12 months, Mainka will cover all shipping costs to and from our workshop for approved repairs. After this period, a modest contribution toward shipping may apply. Any costs will be discussed transparently in advance to ensure the most cost-effective solution.
Purchases via Authorised Retail Partners
Products purchased through our authorised retail partners are fully covered by this promise. Please contact Mainka directly, rather than the retailer, and we will manage the process for you.
